ABOUT ME & MY TOURS
Hello my name is Ian Towriess I own and operate Otter Tracks in Shetland based on the island of Yell, Shetland.
I have been watching otters for over twenty years and started taking tours out in 2012. My aim is to give you an unforgettable experience watching Otters in the wild .
About my tours:
The day will begin with me meeting you at a time and place to be arranged and take you to one or more locations I use . The day itself can be as long or short as you like. Please note that as Otters are wild animals there is no guarantee we will see them but I will use my experience and knowledge of Shetland to do my very best to take to the Otter hotspots that I know about.
Suggested Clothing:
I would recommend you take either walking boots or wellies some of the walks are over rough, wet, uneven ground, also waterproofs clothing would be advisable as this is Shetland after all! Dark colors are best but not essential you my also like to take a small pack with water and a snack.
Group Size:
I usually don't take any more then four people at a time because Otters are shy and easily spooked. I would consider a larger group if they have wildlife watching experience however.
I have binoculars and a spotting scope if required.
Prices:
£75 single person but if someone else wants the same day you would have to share.
£110 couple
£110 for a guaranteed one on one
Groups - please make an enquiry.
